exams no more

yup.. i'm officially free now
had a nice dinner with my studiomates, austen and mandy at suntec marche
somehow marche is not really my favourite dining place.. but it wasnt so bad
we had dessert in haagen dazs *grinz*
and then mandy and i had to leave to meet some friends at Villa Bali..
it was freaking difficult to hail a cab in town..
we made them wait for 2 bloody long hours... how embarassing!
pretty cool place to hang out i must say, its like you're chilling in the garden by the pond haha
good ambience and the location is quite secluded.
i can foresee myself going there again haha

looking forward to next week :)

new hype

i'm sure by now everyone would have known about this new blog www.colinandkero.blogspot.com which i believe is the new hype in NUS as its being circulated faster than answers to exam papers (poor kenny sia has competition now)

honestly, their love for EEEEach other is so overwhelming that I begin to ponder whether it's a fake. their sensitivity clearly attracted the attention of many many girls who hoped that their straight boyfriends could possess at least half that quality. and i think that clearly reflects the flaws in the nature or disposition of most of the straight guys in singapore who couldnt care more for a slightly more troublesome relationship or relationships which require them to be a little more proactive. Everything just has to be provided or lined up right before their eyes so that they would only need to click the 'yes' button to accept the terms and conditions. but i guess they cant be blamed. its just the system in singapore
that spoon-feeding has been cultivated since young.

anyway, i have nothin against singaporean men or those who are under their influence. i dont know myself what caused that outburst haha.. i'm just bored of studying. 1 lousy paper down, 2 more to go. judging from the rate i'm going, seems that the other 2 papers would be lousy as well. i just cant bring myself to study harder or faster!

what happened to the nerdy, hardworking mel?

looks like architecture has done its damage to my personality! help!

anyway, in between studying for my first paper last week i was busy designing a t-shirt for Taman Negara. Agnes ( a friend of mine) will be doing the prints for Taman Negara and was looking for some great designs. initially i wasn't planning on submitting any as i figured that my paper would be more important;hence would require my undivided attention. but being a fickle-minded person ( as i usually am), my fingers just had to click on the photoshop programme on my desktop. i just couldnt resist! imagine if its selected, it will look good in my portfolio. so i came up with a design just a day before the deadline and submitted to her. she said her designer would take a look at all the designs submitted and decide.dont know whether i stand a chance though.

new found happiness

at first i was at a loss for words.
a few days later i was still shocked.
but now
i begin to understand how you feel
and i'm happy for you my friend
that you're bold enough
to know what you want
a new path, a new beginning
a new found happiness
i hope this new journey will continue to be a blissful one for you :)

AR2101 design module yr 2005/2006

is officially over haha..

yea, submission for the project was yesterday and my crit was today.
i cant believe that i actually overslept on my crit day.
i was the 6th person on the list and guess what i was doing when the third person was presenting?

yea... i was sleeping

soundly

in my room

thanks to mandy and jun xian who drove back to hall to wake me up :)
or else i'll be dead.

anyway, the crit was ok i guess. I just hope that my one semester of hardwork would be paid off =) sleepless nights and all..
and i would love to describe my project further.. especially for my friends who are far far away.. who always think architecture is such a cool course..
but i'm just too lazy heh.. in short, its a hotel in between old army barracks :)

this is one of my favourites from the panels i presented this morning ( which took me almost forever to complete) :
last but not least, thanks to all my studio mates who helped me out in any way throughout the semester especially Melvin who worked hard alongside me.. ( you know, all the csi and grey's anatomy and project runway.. haha!)
