lady: hey R, why you look so glum today? Smile a bit leh..
man stretches his cheeks to fake out a smile
lady: you went for breakfast alrd? Never wait for me..
man: cos i came to work quite early today... tt's why i went first
lady: oh... ok. Hey R, cheer up leh.. its only a project..must be more cheerful
man: it's giving me a hell out of problems.. headache man. For the past few days i've been leaving the office at ard 930pm. cannot tahan eh like tt
lady: at least you're only working on one project. I have 3 projects to work on currently and i'm supposed to only work part-time leh. and then when i go back i have to deal with husband, kids, mother-in-law, maid etc
man: husband and kids are fun what
lady: they're not when they're complaining!
man: you deal with your husband and kids when you go back. when i go back, i deal with 4 huge walls. Now you tell me, which is better
man walks away
i stood there listening.
'four huge walls' sounds pretty intimidating to me.
i guess in future when i design buildings, i'll make the walls really small

1st day at work
today was my first day of work as an intern in Jurong International.
managed to reach there 830 sharp (phew!)
looks like my estimation of time is improving.
Basically this was how it went:
was introduced to half a dozen of people whose names I forgot by lunch time
was introduced to the youngest staff there ( a year older than me ) who taught me to slack and take time-off without getting caught
got all the administrative matters settled.. like temporary pass, network account and a desk of my own
was informed by the architect that she only works in the morning (wth??)... so I'm left alone till 6pm
was asked to design a cover page for some report the architect was writing on.. some industrial planning proposal for Algeria. I had the whole day so I did 4.
downloaded e-messenger at around 4pm so that I can chat with my other friends who were apparently slacking at work too.
forced myself to go through the reports to make myself look busy.
logged off at 6 pm.

someone asked me once
whether I would choose to be with the person I love
or the person who loves me
i couldnt answer that question then
somehow it just struck me
that I would choose the latter.

disappointed
people who knows me well are pretty aware that i'm the type of person who cant decide on the simplest thing like what to have for dinner.
i guess if the choice that you make is always wrong, you'll definitely tend to give up on deciding.
however under certain circumstances, you just want to decide for yourself although you know very well of your past records of poor choice.
however, to your disappointment
you once again made the wrong decision
and you wonder why it cant be right
for just once
maybe i should just stop deciding for my own
then i need not fear for the disappointment that follows
oh well..
** looking forward to meet my parents and the lil kids at home :)

why i hate packing
i really really hate packing.. you seriously have no idea how much i HATE it..
firstly, i have no idea where all my stuff came from..
it's as though they've undergone some multiplication process without my notice..
like maybe during submission week when the only time i was in the room was to sleep
each time i thought i've cleared a percentage of my stuff.. and suddenly *poof* they appear again in another compartment or sometimes even in the same compartment..
how could i have possibly missed them?
ok fine.. its possible
next, i have to remove whatever decorations i put at the beginning of the semester and dump them into a box..
only to have the box reopened when i move to another room for vacation stay...
don't they know that's redundant?!
i just dont get it.. why cant i keep my room for the vacation stay?
'oh no... we cant allow you to keep your room.. cos there will be other people moving in during the hols for some conference... oh no we cant cos it'll be dangerous.. you'll be too far from the RF... no we cant.. we cant give you the privilege..'
my ass..
not only that, i would have to drag all the boxes and luggage to the new room which is one level above my room.. c'mmon if you think i need to exercise, just tell me...
another thing i hate about packin
you know how DIRTY your room looks like after you're done packing..
so its not only packing.. but also CLEANING your one year of accumulated dust under the bed and the stuff in your room
the worst part is..
when you're done packing
and you look around and you realise.. how EMPTY your room feels..
and i hate the feeling of emptiness..
your room turns cold.. and becomes a stranger to you...
cos what gives warmth and identity to a place is the furniture
and its freaking depressing
(&*@#^)*@^$_@$*@$*%%^$%$#$!!
ok.. that feels good haha
