home is good as usual
and is boring as usual too..
but home is home, no matter how boring it is, you'll always yearn to return home at the end of the day...no matter where you are.

the kids at home are definitely growing- kimmy can walk and say a couple of words like hi and bye now ( did i mention she's incredibly adorable?)- but my dog is not. He's of the size when I left for NUS about 2 years ago! there goes my hope of being the owner of a huge and ferocious dog..*sigh*

sometimes i feel my dog understands whatever i say to him. Do dogs have feelings? I'm not exaggerating or anything but sometimes i can feel it when he's sad. Is it true that you can sense your dog's emotions or am I just being dumb about this whole thing?

today i was so bored that i ASKED my mum whether i can help out in the kitchen. After that, i rummaged through my old boxes and found my SAT books which kept me occupied throughout the rest of the day as I decided to learn a few more vocabs (sheesh, i feel like a geek). I wonder what I should do tomorrow to un-bore myself.

havent visited my young cousins who both delivered baby boys recently. seriously, my nieces and nephews are growing so rapidly in number that I find it difficult to keep up with. When i finally manage to remember there's a 'Christian' in the family, another 'Keith' or 'Alyssa' appears out of no where. I feel old.

i have nothing else to write. Stole some of my dad's chivas just now. How I wish he has more of it.. then i can take more too. ok now i sound like an alcoholic. A geeky alcoholic? Is that even possible?

the escape

the pace of life here is slow
and peaceful
i walk down the road without a worry on my mind
swinging my hands to and fro
sometimes i do a skip
'i like it here,' i thought
everything around me seems surreal
and amazingly calm
the wind whispers the secret of happiness
and brings along with it the scent of flowers blooming

yet somehow i can no longer hear it
nor smell it
because the migraine that i'm having right now is really driving me crazy

it took me approx 2 weeks to finish ( as i was sick for a few days ) and its really fun doing it haha.. i'm so proud of it yay..

looking like a malay helps

it was lunch time and i was pretty hungry after the gym session with a few other colleagues..
and so i decided to go for a heavier lunch than just a few pathetic buns or banana balls that zhi xiang has almost daily ( yes, that's his secret of maintaning his muscles)
i walked up to the Malay stall and thought, 'oh what the hell, since i already look like one, might as well act like one' and went:

and what do you know.. i got a discount.. a pretty good deal in fact

got a new GREEN nalgene-look-alike bottle from my company today
and i was so happy that the lady who gave it to me felt happy too
happiness is contagious izzint it haha..
i know its no big deal but like i mentioned earlier,
the unexpected always brings the excitement..
or.... happiness in this case

now i really want THE Adidas GREEN Jacket..
