my greatgrandmother gave me a dream yesterday.. and somehow, there's this 4-digit number involved. the chinese usually believe that numbers from your dream are usually meant for good luck or something. so i thought i could win 4d today. i thought its her way of giving me ang-pow to shop for chinese new year.

stupid song lingering in my head

had a long day today.. started off the morning with the intention to go over to JB with Wong.. she wanted to get her hair done. i guess she had enough of her prim and proper look which made her look like a tutor girl haha.. however this tutor girl forgot to bring along her passport and we ended up in Westmall instead, cos that's where she realised her passport wasnt in her bag. waited ard 3 hours (??) for her in the salon, browsing through stacks of magazines.

well, she looks nice with her new hair now. but i still think she looks decent haha. and decent is good.

rushed back to hall only to rest for a few minutes before i had to get ready for mandy and deno's birthday dinner. so the four of us: min, wong, jun and i then took a cab down and met them in TCC bugis ( i'm not sure why i'm blogging abt all these, not tt anyone would bother haha) anyway, they look really adorable together.

wooimin then felt that we should end the night with a couple of good drinks. so we left the couple to themselves and headed towards wala's.

the nerdy side of me is starting to worry cos i havent done a thing for design on monday and worse, i'm still clueless.
can't be complacent. not this semester especially.

today

my dog turned into a murderer.
according to my sister, he fought with her dog and bit the poor dog's tail off.
and today my dad found the poor dog dead.
simply cant believe it.. he's so adorable

anyway, i went for my first forensic science lecture this evening (7-10pm). and for the first time, watching CSI really helped haha! they discussed about real cases and how they managed to use forensic science to capture the murderers.. i guess i spent my 700 points pretty well!

on a side note, i really hate rainy weathers. this's the time when all the slimy earthworms leave their holes to terrorise me.

december break

this time i did more than just eat.sleep.watch tv.sleep.eat.eat.sleep

i played video games haha

anyway, my mum signed both my sister and myself up for this charity work without first discussing with me in depth. she said its very simple, all we needed to do was to sell balloons to raise funds for the disabled children in this centre called the Happiness Centre from 10 am to 10pm for 9 days.when i heard about it, i almost fainted. seriously, me selling balloons, asking for donations for 12 hours a day for 9 days? either my mum didnt know me well enough or she's sick of seeing me sleeping and eating all day long at home. i told her i would quit after the first few days.

so i went to the centre and i saw them.

the children.

at that instant, i was reminded of how lucky i am despite the pimples on my face. some of them were so severely disabled that i really couldnt see the point of them living. i saw their charts: blind, bed-ridden, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and i guess that was how i lasted throughout the 9 days: sympathy

anyone would have felt the same

either that or it was simply because of this cute guy smiling at me for 12 hours a day from a 'Reject Shop' nearby

k kidding.

anyway, i know i'm not the noblest or kindest person around but this experience certainly opened my eyes and made me aware of the needs of these children whose parents had given up hope on. i just hope that the next time someone does approach you with a little donation box for kids like these, you'll contribute sincerely instead of just wanting to put those little stickers on to prevent others with the same donation boxes from bugging you on your shopping spree in Orchard Rd.

oh, this's just a weird angle of my sister after a long day at work haha
