i think it depicts security in a relationship. like when you feel weak, and shattered, your partner is there to calm you and soothe you.
somewhat idealistic, but probably something we all want to believe

interesting. its pretty much different from my interpretation of it.while urs is abt security, mine is more of being oblivious. cool.

I think it looks like the lady was on dope and sent to rehab. Probably having a huge withdrawal symptom and the daughter is there to comfort her.

But why does the lady look so old compared to her daughter?
BECOZ SHE IS ON CRYSTAL METH! SO DUN TAKE THAT STUFF!!

me me! i didnt get to comment yet haha..

i think it shows the mad descent into darkness and oblivion.. the scary old woman is grabbing her and dragging her down.. and the girl looks like she is drugged and all too willing to lose herself....as if that is her fate and she's living with it.

now wooi min needs to comment =P

btw does our translations reflect our current situations and emotions?
cos if it does, wooi min is probably gonna see flowers and hearts.. hahaha

I see it as Lady Death embracing a departed soul.

For most of us, death is an abomination, a terrible thing. We associate it with pain and suffering, and we fear her. But death can just as well be a release for some. She can be merciful, warm and even beautiful.
